GEA First committee meeting

Where it all began - first committee meeting

 Overview

Located in the Perth Hills, formally known as GARC, GEA offers its members a supportive and inclusive riding experience with qualified instructors.

Members have the opportunity to experience a range of riding disciplines. Our core disciplines are flatwork, showjumping and working equitation, but we also offer groundwork, poles, desensitisation games, cross country, jumpcross lessons  and more throughout the year. We also hold clinics, social evenings and open training days.

As an adult riding club, membership is restricted to persons over 18 years of age.

MEMBERSHIP

We offer a range of membership types - Full, Associate, Family and  Social.

Please visit our MEMBERSHIP page for details and Membership Application Form.

UNIFORMS

Please visit our UNIFORM ORDER page to view and order uniforms.

Our club colours are black and gold and we have shirts (long & short sleeved), jackets, vests, caps and beanies up for sale. Uniforms do not have to be worn at rallies however they are essential for inter-club challenges. For inter club challenges it is preferred that all riders would be wearing the black and gold club riding tights, or black Jodhpurs.”

We also have club saddle clothes for sale.

RALLIES

Regular rallies are held on the 3rd Sunday of the month. We also hold a monthly Friday morning Rally.

See RALLIES  for more details

EVENTS

Training days and clinics may be offered throughout the year depending on availability of the grounds. See EVENTS for more details.

Competitions both in house and inter-club are hosted by GEA and other clubs affiliated with ARCA (Adult Riding Club Association).

ARCA ‘challenges’ are a great way to introduce you and your horse to friendly competition while supporting and representing your club. There is a high point and handicap trophy for each challenge up for grabs.

COMMITTEE

GEA has an active, hardworking COMMITEE.

Committee meetings are held monthly, usually the week after each Sunday Rally. All members are welcome to attend. Committee positions are elected during the AGM.  All committee members must be financial members of the club.
